Chelsea Wilkerson

Chelsea is a Georgia Peach with deep roots in the rural south. During her undergraduate years she donated her time with numerous community based agencies and organizations focused on serving the public throughout metro Atlanta. She graduated with a degree in social work from Georgia State University where she also worked part-time and volunteered in her free time with children. A highlights of this period in her life was volunteering with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Her volunteer work continued throughout law school where she participated, assisted in organizing and presenting numerous community centered programs and cultural events.

During her years of practice Chelsea has resolved hundreds of cases throughout the State of Georgia advocating for families going through highly contested custody battles and financial turmoil. Chelsea extends her services in multiple jurisdictions with 100+cases currently pending in the Superior, Juvenile and Magistrate courts throughout the state. While driving her client’s cases forward, she continues the work of serving her community through her law firm by advocating for battered women, programs centered on parental rights, and father’s rights in custody cases. Beyond Georgia’s border, she has travelled extensively in Dubai, South America, Europe and the U.S., favoring Destin, and New Orleans. Chelsea prioritizes self development through reading history, professional development and writing. She balances her career work with gardening, yoga, and quality time with loved ones.

Genghis X. Shakhan

Genghis was born and raised in the heart of America’s breadbasket, the Midwest. Co-founder of Shakhan & Wilkerson Law Firm in Georgia, Genghis is committed to providing compassionate, effective legal representation. Possessing a deep sense of duty, service and commitment Genghis is a proud combat veteran who earned a Combat Action Ribbon while serving in Iraq with the United States Marine Corps. Forged in a fiery crucible, Genghis’ core values echo those of his paternal grandfather who worked tirelessly in the coal mines of West Virginia and later on in the steel mills of the Northern Ohio rust belt. Born to a painter and pre-school educator, Genghis’ parents and bonus stepfather instilled in him a deep sense of duty and commitment that inspires him to outwork and outpace his contemporaries.

An active volunteer and community activist, Genghis has worked with the ACLU of Georgia, Atlanta’s CASA, Meals on Wheels, the Covenant House, regional food banks, Atlanta Union Mission Men’s Shelter and other various agencies around the state. He has facilitated and/or supported numerous community-inspired initiatives spanning Georgia, New York, Baltimore, Ohio and Washington D.C. Genghis and Chelsea also frequently host free “Know Your Rights” clinics and webinars honoring their commitment to service and serving all Georgians. Genghis has previously worked in the Fulton County State Court and with the Houston County Juvenile Court and brings a wealth of experience and lends his powerful voice to serving the legal needs of all Georgians in need of representation.

His work combines a rare blend of legal acumen, educational insight, and a heartfelt dedication to uplifting others—a perspective he also now shares as an author, helping readers navigate complex legal professionals.
